“A Crimson Man” is the story of an unliklely friendship between a war refugee named Wei Zhang, played by Maddox Henry, and a psychologically scarred war robot named Red, played by Daniel Clarkson. Both must escape their dire situations and work together to do so.

The story is simple and the characters have much in common but remains at the center of it all is the question of trust. Now it is true Red needs the boy andthe boy needs Red but what will happen if the dynamics change? Will Red´s PTSD bring out a dangerous monster?

“A Crimson Man” is one of many good short films online from channels like Dust on Youtube. The story develops nicely without any ofthe hyperbole in so many scifi stories today. I really see great potential for future episodes where the characters develop and grow. For example, Wei could grow into cargo pilot or treasure hunter who chases down the people trying to find Red etc. It´s nice to see that short films are growing in popularity and attracting talent to boot.

“A Crimson Man” is a well made, short film. I highly recommend it.
