”It Follows” is an American, supernatural, horror film written and directed by David Robert Mitchell and produced by Rebecca Green, Laura D. Smith, David Robert Mitchell, David Kaplan and Erik Rommesmo. It stars Maika Monroe, Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto, Jake Weary, Olivia Luccardi, Lili Sepe, Carollette Phillips, Linda Boston, Joanna Bronson, Bailey Spry, D.J. Oliver, Runby Harris, Ele Bardha, Don Hails and Mike Lanier. An article on Yahoo movies named it in the top 25 best movies of 2014. A special thanks went out to Katharine Brandes, George Constas, Gabriel Geer, Eddie Rubin and Nickola Shreli. This is a very good movie with a great story and talented actors.

The story begins when a young women from Michigan named Jay Height, played by Maika Monroe, goes on a date. While in the theater a strange woman seems to be watching them. Her date is named Hugh, played by Jake Weary, and is terrified of the mysterious woman. After a brief sexual encounter Jay finds herself tied to a wheelchair where she is explained the curse that has been passed on to her. The story just gets better from there. This movie really is a gem even though it was done on a low budget.

This movie has many elements of a good movie. For example, being a horror movie it has plenty of suspense and WTF moments. This film has good chase scenes and a terrifying enigmatic, supernatural creature stalking the characters. There is also the moral dilemna at the heart of the story.

What would you do if you were passed on a curse? Or how would you handle a seemlingly hopeless situation? Would you do what Hugh / Jeff did? Or what Jay did?

”It Follows” is a really good movie that is worth seeing and owning. I highly recommend it.
