”The Key” was written by the bestselling author of ”Communion” Whitley Strieber. It is the description of an encounter that took place between himself and a stranger in a hotel room years earlier on June 6, 1998.  According to Whitley Strieber this interview was less than an hour and changed his life. So ”The Key” is Whitley sharing some of those words with the reader. This is an interested read with wise words.

 Whitley calls this stranger ”Master of the Key” and never discovered his identity.  The general message from the ”Master of the Key” was that humanity was trapped. Trapped in cycles of violence, self-destruction and what he called ”sin”. Now the stranger defined ”sin” as a denial of a being´s right to thrive. He gives very cogent examples to Whitley and describes certain aspects of things to come such as the use of gas to enhance computers. He also warns of the threat of Artificial Intelligence and sentient robots. He spoke of an energy body whose borders were beyond the skin and much more. Truly fascinating.

”The Key” is like a very interesting conversation you might have in a coffee shop with people who have travelled to places you haven´t and describe things that are new and fascinating. This isn´t the type of conversation you could have in academia or see in the media. It´s not the type of conversation you could have at work either. This book has a lot of relevant information for this day and age and is enjoyable to read. I highly recommend this book as a must read and must own.
